Gitane Workbench

The use of reclaimed materials for custom designs is something we always get excited about. This particular piece is one of the workbenches here in our shop. While not one of our top designs, we did have some fun with it. The structure is fabricated from heavy solid core doors which previously resided in a local nursing home. The drawers and leveling feet were taken from an office desk headed to the land fill. Other materials include angle iron from a bed frame and reclaimed poplar wood (dyed yellow).
